How to Start A YouTube Channel - A Beginner’s Guide

Starting a YouTube channel is a perfect first step to share your thoughts, talents, or hobbies with the world! Whether you’re looking to launch a vlog, create tutorials, or showcase gaming content, here is guidance to help you get your channel created. 

Step 1: Sign in to YouTube : First things first—you will need a Google Account. If you don’t have one yet, don’t worry! You can create by following these simple steps:

1. In a browser open google.com
2. Click on “Create account.”
3. Follow the prompts to get your Google Account set up.

Step 3: Personalise Your Channel - Give your channel a polished and welcoming feel:
    1. Click on “Customize Channel.”
    2. Add the following in your channel:
    - Profile Picture: Use your logo or a high-quality photo.
    - Banner Image: Recommended dimensions are 2560 × 1440 pixels.
    - Channel Description: Provide a brief overview of what your channel offers.
    3. Include links to your social media or website under “Links.”
    Important Hint- Making a strong first impression can help attract more subscribers!

Step 4: Upload Your First Video : Now it’s time to start and share your creativity.

1. Click on the camera icon at the top right corner.
2. Choose “Upload video” from the options.
3. Select the video file you want to upload from your computer.
4. Don’t forget to add a catchy title, a compelling description, and relevant tags!
5. You can also upload a custom thumbnail (recommended size: 1280 × 720 pixels) to grab attention.

Hint: Make sure you give an attracted titles and make outstanding thumbnails.

Step 5: Optimize Your Channel for Growth ; To increase your video’s visibility and reach a wider audience, follow the following steps:

- Incorporate relevant keywords into your titles and descriptions.
- Create playlists to keep your content organised and accessible.

- Head over to youtube.com/verify
- Follow the prompts to verify your account using your phone number

Step 7: Stay Consistent and Engage : Keep in mind that it takes time to make your YouTube channel successful. So No hurry to get thousand views or to monetized of your channel. Just Stay active by regularly posting videos, responding to comments, and create new ideas. The greater the value you provide to your audience, the quicker your channel will grow!
